Breaking Free

Standard

Faced with what you fear the most;

The place that you fear,

Has a face of a ghost.

I’m not sure when I learned to fear, or who it was who taught me the lesson.  I do know however, it is a lesson I’ve learned well.  I’ve spent thousands of days at home and work, smiling to the passers by, and crouching away in a corner of my mind.

My writing has suffered from a similar treatment, breaking out and escaping in small ideas written on torn pieces of paper and napkins, and being shelved; so many fears to face, of writing bad, of writing good, of letting someone else read my feelings on the page, after I’ve hidden them, for so very long.

Thousands of wasted days….

But now I’m trying to break free of my fears, and this…this is the first post.
